Akari is coming soon

美術館Also called Light Up

Akari, also published as Light Up, is a Nikoli puzzle about lighting a gallery. Its Japanese name means “art museum”: every corner needs light, but the lamps mustn’t shine on each other.

How it works

  • Place lamps in white squares. A lamp lights its whole row and column until a black square stops the light.
  • Every white square must be lit, and no lamp may shine on another lamp.
  • A number on a black square says how many lamps sit right beside it.
